Still stuck?
If the game will not start, work through this checklist in order:
- Hard refresh the page (Ctrl + Shift + R, or Cmd + Shift + R on Mac).
- Try another browser. An up-to-date Chrome, Edge or Firefox works best.
- Disable extensions such as ad blockers for pokebonk.com.
- Turn on hardware acceleration in your browser settings. 3D games run poorly without it.
- Check for an outage. Right after a patch, servers are often busy. The developer posts updates on X and the official Discord.
Common questions
What is PokeBonk?
PokeBonk is a free 3D survivors-like Pokémon fan game you play in the browser at pokebonk.com. It was made by Charcher (@ImCharcher on X) and is heavily inspired by Megabonk, especially its 3D world and verticality, mixed with classic Pokémon mechanics.
Is PokeBonk free?
Yes. PokeBonk is free to play in your browser at pokebonk.com, with no ads and no purchases.
Are there PokeBonk redeem codes?
No. PokeBonk has no redeem codes right now. Sites listing PokeBonk codes are guessing. If codes are ever added, we will cover them in the patch notes.
What is a PokeBonk invite code?
When registration is invite-only, new accounts need an invite code. Invite codes are handed out on the official PokeBonk Discord. When registration is open, you do not need one.
Can I play PokeBonk on mobile?
Yes. PokeBonk runs in mobile browsers on phones and tablets with touch controls. Desktop also supports keyboard, mouse and controllers.
Is there a PokeBonk APK or app download?
No official one. PokeBonk is a browser game: the developer only points players to pokebonk.com, and on phones you play it in the mobile browser. Be careful with APK files offered by other sites, they are not from the developer.
Does PokeBonk have co-op or multiplayer?
Not yet (as of October 23, 2026), but it is close. On October 15 the developer said he was focused on co-op, on October 18 he said it was planned for the following week, and on October 22 (UTC) he announced that a co-op beta is coming very soon. We will add it to the patch notes when it ships.
Does PokeBonk have clans and leaderboards?
Yes. The clan system is a key feature: your clan competes by adding up the best runs of all its members. There are also individual leaderboards per map, a global leaderboard and one for the endless mode.
What about cheaters on the leaderboards?
The developer says the game uses automatic and manual systems to quickly remove malicious scores from the leaderboards, plus anti-cheat measures.
Do I need an account to play?
No. You can play as a guest. An account (no email needed) keeps your progress on the server, which is safer than guest progress stored in one browser.
I forgot my password. Can I recover my account?
Not at the moment. Accounts are created without an email, so there is no password reset. Save your username and password in a password manager.
Why is PokeBonk not loading?
Refresh the page, then try another up-to-date browser such as Chrome, Edge or Firefox. Turn off ad blockers and browser extensions for pokebonk.com, enable hardware acceleration, and check the official Discord or the developer's X account for server issues, which are common right after a patch.
My guest progress disappeared. What happened?
Guest progress is tied to the browser you played in. Switching browsers or devices, or clearing site data, can make it look lost. Go back to the original browser, and create an account to keep progress safe.
Why can't I enter Storm Coast or Celestial Glacier?
The Season 2 maps unlock in order: clear Rocky Desert to open Storm Coast, then clear Storm Coast to open Celestial Glacier. A bug that blocked entry to the new region was fixed in patch 0.8.8, so if you still cannot get in, hard refresh the page to load the latest version.
How do I switch the game to English (or another language)?
Outside a run, open Settings, then Language, then Game language, and pick your language. The game is currently in Spanish, English, Portuguese, French, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean and Russian.
Is PokeBonk the same as PokeRogue?
No. PokeRogue is a different Pokémon fan game. PokeBonk is a 3D survivors-like by Charcher, inspired by Megabonk.
Was PokeBonk made with AI?
Partly, as a tool. The developer says he used AI to help build the game over two weeks of refining, the sprites are fan-made (Creative Commons) and the 3D models were made in Blender with AI help. It is a non-profit fan game, and he pays for the servers himself.
Is PokeBonk an official Pokémon game?
No. PokeBonk is an unofficial fan game made by an independent developer, inspired by Megabonk. It is not made or endorsed by Nintendo or The Pokémon Company, and it is not related to Pokémon Bank.
Is pokebonk.homes the official site?
No. pokebonk.homes is an independent fan guide. The official game is at pokebonk.com.
