Every PokeBonk update explained: Season 2 maps, move fusions, new items, Lab changes and events, with the latest version number.
PokeBonk is updated almost every day, so this page tracks what changed and when. The game launched on October 14, 2026 and climbed through the 0.7 and 0.8 builds in its first week. Season 2 started on October 21 with new maps, move fusions and a Halloween event, and the current build is v0.8.25. Each entry below sums up one update; open it for the full notes and what it means for your runs.
51 versions so far, from v0.5.0 to v0.8.25, summarised from the game's in-game "What's new" list. Dates are the game's own release dates.
The version badge under the logo opens the in-game list of changes.
v0.8.25 Smoother late runs and fusion tuning
Less stutter late in a run and in big hordes: fewer stacked effects and lighter map objects.
Large-area Strikes and Charges no longer slow down the Final Swarm.
Automatic resolution scaling now also works on High quality to protect your frame rate.
Fusions were tuned to feel better.
v0.8.24 Archive presets on phones, shiny filter
Archive presets no longer hide items on phones; the active preset saves itself and presets can be created and deleted.
The League Shiny filter also lists shinies of Pokémon you have not recruited.
iPhone sound returns after a call or app switch.
Failed graphics and slow reward claims retry automatically; Lab purchases and claiming several achievements are faster.
v0.8.23 Faster at peak hours
Leaderboards, clans and menu purchases respond faster when many players are online.
v0.8.22 Fewer false run reviews
A more precise anti-cheat holds fewer honest runs for review and blocks a new Time Trial exploit.
v0.8.21 Account reset limit
Starting over from Settings → Account is limited to once every 7 days.
v0.8.20 Server work
More server improvements for busy hours.
v0.8.19 Shorter waits when saving runs
Saving runs and opening leaderboards wait less at peak hours.
v0.8.18 Updates without disconnects
Server updates no longer drop your connection; you keep playing while they apply.
v0.8.17 Fusion fixes, Archive templates, map zoom
Several fusion bugs fixed, including fusions ignoring extra projectiles; rankings of affected players were adjusted.
Archive templates: save up to 3 and switch between them when starting a run.
The pause screen shows damage per second over the last 15 seconds next to total damage.
Zoom the big map with the mouse wheel, a pinch or buttons.
Boss rewards land farther from the portal, which asks before you leave rewards behind.
Fixes for walking on after Esc, event reward claims on slow connections, clan sorting by Survival and the clan finder refresh.
Few-items and no-vitamins achievements now count everything you carried during the run; selling Max Ether or TM Case restores normal caps.
The Fairy Feather has its icon, the Ultimate notice no longer covers the boss bar, text is easier to read and foldable phones get a better view.
v0.8.16 Scrolling fusion list, new event ranking
The pause menu fusion list scrolls instead of running off the screen.
Event ranking redesign with a Tower header, podium and your own place always visible.
The Trainers and Clans buttons are no longer hidden.
v0.8.15 Lavender Tower wins restored
Faster loading under heavy traffic.
Lavender Tower wins that were wrongly rejected now count.
v0.8.14 Fusion previews and Lavender Tower fixes
Bill's Machine previews a fusion's type, Physical or Special and its numbers before you fuse; the fusion table is in Moves and the pause menu.
Lavender Tower: no more invisible walls or walking through stairs, Meowth no longer blocks the stairs, and the Ectoplasm Armor prize and "No Light" achievement work.
Finished runs are resent if the server hiccups.
New settings: Effect brightness and Reduce flashes. More FPS in big hordes.
Shiny and Spectral looks can be combined; the slot machine animation can be skipped; the pause menu lists banished cards.
The Pokédex achievement completes with all 151 seen.
Esc no longer leaves full screen in Chrome and Edge (hold Esc to leave); the camera responds again after closing the map or a menu without a click.
Selling to Meowth asks for confirmation, and tapping a name in the event ranking opens their profile.
v0.8.13 Maintenance release
No player-facing notes.
v0.8.12 Maintenance release
No player-facing notes.
v0.8.11 Blank screen recovery
The game recovers on its own from a blank screen after an update, no hard refresh needed.
v0.8.10 Run saving after reconnects
Fixed runs that failed to save after reconnecting.
v0.8.9 Launch-day capacity
The server handles large waves of players joining at once better.
v0.8.8 Storm Coast access fix
Players who beat Rocky Desert in Season 1 can now enter Storm Coast.
v0.8.7 Season 2 boards reset
Leaderboards, clan points, rivalries, missions, streaks and clan records restarted for Season 2.
v0.8.6 Season 1 runs kept off Season 2 boards
Runs started in Season 1 and submitted after the switch stay in your history but do not count for Season 2.
The server copes better when lots of players join at once.
v0.8.5 Survival balance
Survival: after the first hour the horde keeps speeding up, so no build lasts forever.
Movement speed above ×3 is less effective in Survival.
Shed Shell slides give 0.35 s of invulnerability with a 0.8 s recharge.
v0.8.4 Richer trainer cards
Trainer cards show each run's mode, region, difficulty, Time Attack medal, fusions and Bag items, with filters and your best Lavender Tower floor.

Four new in-run music tracks, one picked at random per run.
v0.8.2 Clan trophy labels
Clan trophies show whether they come from the KO or Survival board.
v0.8.1 Title details
Non-Pokémon titles such as PokéBonk Pioneer show their picture and how to earn them.
v0.8.0 Season 2
New maps Storm Coast (Zapdos) and Celestial Glacier (Articuno) with 12 new guardians.
Move fusions at Bill's Machine.
24 new items, 5 vitamins, 3 shrines, mega crits, TMs as power-ups, the ground slam and the Pokémon Egg.
Halloween event "The Night of Lavender Tower" until November 4.
Clan board, weekly missions, rivalries, levels and up to 200 members.
New main menu, achievements and Lab upgrades; Season 1 players get the Kanto Pioneer avatar and PokéBonk Pioneer title.
